Colorado Requirements to become a
Licensed Real Estate Broker
AGE:
An applicant for a broker's license shall be at least
eighteen years of age.
TESTING:
A Commission examination is required of all applicants.
Application:
Application to the Real Estate Commission must be filed
within one year of the date of passing the entire examination.
CHARACTER:
The Real Estate Commission is authorized to
require and procure proof of truthfulness, honesty, good moral character and
competency of the applicant in such manner as to safeguard the interest of the
public.
Examination Fee (State of Colorado):
The fee for each exam is $74.00. This fee is paid
at the test center on the day you report for your test. Cash will not be
accepted.
Examination Days:
The exam is given Tuesday through Saturday. You
must call ahead for reservations.
